Thank You for an Incredible Year – Reflections on the Renfrewshire Housing Market and Looking Ahead to 2026

As we come to the end of another year, all of us at New Door Estate Agents want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you.

Thank you to our clients who trusted us with their homes, to buyers who chose to take their next step with us by their side, and to everyone who has supported, recommended, and engaged with New Door throughout the year. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of such a strong local community here in Renfrewshire.

A Year of Change in the Renfrewshire Housing Market

The housing market in Renfrewshire over the past year has been, like much of Scotland, a story of adjustment.

After several years of fast-paced activity, 2025 brought a more balanced and thoughtful market. Buyers have been more price-conscious, taking their time and doing their homework. Sellers, in turn, have needed to be realistic on pricing and presentation to stand out.

Despite broader economic pressures, Renfrewshire has continued to prove its appeal. Areas such as Paisley, Bishopton, Renfrew and surrounding villages have remained popular thanks to strong transport links, growing communities, and a healthy mix of family homes and first-time-buyer properties.

Well-presented homes priced correctly have still attracted good interest, while properties that missed the mark have been slower to move — reinforcing just how important experienced local advice has been this year.

What This Has Meant for Buyers and Sellers

For buyers, the past year has offered more choice and a little breathing room compared to previous years. Competitive bidding has eased, allowing buyers to make more considered decisions and, in some cases, negotiate more confidently.

For sellers, success has come from strategy rather than speed. Professional marketing, realistic valuations, and a clear understanding of local demand have made all the difference — something we’ve been proud to support our clients with throughout the year.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we look towards 2026, there are plenty of reasons for cautious optimism.

Market conditions are expected to continue stabilising, providing a healthier balance between supply and demand. While dramatic price surges are unlikely, steady movement and consistent buyer interest are anticipated across Renfrewshire — particularly for homes that meet modern lifestyle needs.

First-time buyers are expected to remain active, family homes will continue to be in demand, and well-connected locations should retain their popularity. As always, local knowledge and tailored advice will be key in helping people make the most of the opportunities ahead.

Our Commitment Going Forward

At New Door, our focus for 2026 remains the same:
to offer honest advice, strong local expertise, and a genuinely personal service to every client we work with.

Whether you’re thinking about selling, buying, or simply want to understand the local market better, we’re always happy to have a chat — no pressure, just clear and friendly guidance.

Once again, thank you for being part of our journey this year. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to supporting even more people through their next move in 2026.

From all of us at New Door Estate Agents — thank you, and here’s to the year ahead.
