Guide to East Dunbartonshire

East Dunbartonshire lies to the north of Glasgow. It includes many of Glasgow’s suburbs as well as many of the city’s commuter towns and villages. This also gives ease of access to those commuting to North Lanarkshire, Stirling and West Dunbartonshire as it shares their borders. The area links the city with the gateway to the Highlands, through the West Highland way and eastwards towards the Kelvin Valley

East Dunbartonshire will offer something for everyone. For the shoppers there is major high street stores, unique boutiques and local shops.  For those looking to eat out there is a wide variety of restaurants from simple cafes to pub grub and fine dining.

 For those that love the outdoors you are never far from many of East Dunbartonshire’s cycle paths or places to walk including Mugdock Country Park, Forth and Clyde canal or the Campsie Fells. The area is served by 14 golf clubs and many leisure centres.

Transport  

East Dunbartonshire has excellent train links that serve the central belt. Park and Ride services are available at the following East Dunbartonshire stations: Bearsden, Hillfoot, Lenzie, Milngavie, Westerton.
